Crossed straps are the highlight of the Mykonos sandal by Papillio. Straps running from the midfoot to the heel not only ensure the eye-catcher of the shoe, they also give the foot extra grip. The adjustable buckle allows Mykonos to be individually adapted to the foot. The design is also rounded off by a smaller strap in the front area of the shoe.
NATURAL CORK FOOTBED MATERIAL
The Birkenstock cork-latex footbed is known for its foot-friendly properties. Made from high quality natural materials, the footbed offers comfort according to the highest orthopedic standards. The basic structure of the sole is made of natural cork, which with its cushioning properties cushions every step perfectly and thus protects the foot extra. There is a jute layer above and below the cork core, which thanks to its versatile properties ensures a pleasant foot climate by absorbing liquid and storing heat. The jute layer is covered by the suede cover. Suede leather is considered particularly skin-friendly and contributes to comfort thanks to its soft texture. The ergonomic shape of the footbed allows the foot to adapt perfectly to the sole, the transverse arch support cushions the midfoot and thus ensures a firm stand within the shoe. The natural arch of the foot is supported by the cork-latex footbed.
BIRKO-FLOR LACQUER UPPER
This shoe variant is made of the synthetic material Birko-Flor, a high-quality PVC plastic. In addition, the upper layer of the shoe has a varnish coating that gives the Birko-Flor varnish its shiny surface. The inside is coated with a breathable fleece, which makes the shoe particularly soft and skin-friendly. Birko-Flor lacquer is easy to clean and is very hard-wearing.
REAL LEATHER INSOLE
Also known as suede, its robustness makes suede the ideal material for an insole. The suede made of cowhide has a fibrous structure on the inside, which makes the material particularly breathable and soft.
EVA OUTSOLE
Stable, flexible and cushionable, these are the foot-friendly properties of the EVA outsole from Birkenstock. In addition to the characteristic sole profile with a bone pattern, the outsole made of ethylene vinyl acetate is particularly characterized by its high abrasion resistance. This prevents the sole from wearing on one side and can thus prevent possible postural damage. Every step is well cushioned.
